Day 2 of intensive training at the Universitatea din Oradea , and this time, we got to know our “enemy” ![🌱]()
We started in the classroom, talking about pests and diseases, understanding how they affect plants. But we didn’t stay there for long.
Out in the field, we became detectives. We observed, we searched, we spotted the signs. We saw their consequences on the plants, and then, under the microscope, we looked closer, seeing the damage in a whole new way.
We also explored how different pest traps work and how pheromones can be used to our advantage, learning how to manage challenges in smarter, more sustainable ways.
But we didn’t stop there. We moved on to irrigation systems in vertical farming, understanding how important it is to manage water properly and use resources in a sustainable way.
And to close the day, we visited a hydroponic cherry tomato farm, where we had the chance to discuss directly with the producer about the pros and cons of this method.
A day full of knowledge, experience, and hands-on learning, exactly what this journey is all about ![🚀]()
